Live Art @ The Jolly Brewer, Lincoln

Quick character at the last Undertone event. The owners loved it but I had to hurry as I also had my girlfriend there who was becoming increasingly bored by me working.

Lincoln Mural Project

The Lincoln mural project was set up on William Sinclairs factory. It was first set up by Alison Rattigan and some first year students but I was invited to become part of it too. The whole process took at least 3 months of organising, funding, planning and gaining materials. Countless meetings and was a huge effort which consumed a lot of my summer. But the pay off was great and all of the locals loved it. It even featured in a couple of the local papers and has been a strong talking paint for Lincolnites. Theres a couple of pictures of the work i produced and also the planning with the students.

Derelicts

I love photos of derelict areas like these ones taken in Sleaford. It really inspires my artwork very heavily.

Moorlands Skate Park

More work with kids but this time it was at a skatepark and I was working with James Mayle aka riot 68. I couldn't stay too long due to the warehouse commission I was doing but it was a good experience for me and the kids.

Grounded Coffee Shop

Commission I got with a company called " Off the Bench" which are a youth worker company that try run events and do a lot for kids in Lincolnshire. The Cafe down Monks road known as "Grounded" needed some work doing and I was approached by a council member I had been in contact with telling me about the project. I had a meeting with him and Maaike who was working for Off the Bench and we got it sorted so the kids could have a go and it would guide them and then I'd do all the refining. So me about 3-4 14 year old girls and an older boy etched away at the work. Theres actually a coffee mug below the piece but like a mug I forgot to photograph it. But they were really pleased with it and wanted to get me involved in workshops in the future.

Urban Life #2

The second instalment in my Urban Life videos and features a lot of the same as the other but a bit more detail in a little less time. Nothing but love from most of the people watching it.

The Millers Commission

Pub 5 minutes walk with me got in contact saying they wanted some work doing for an event they were holding. I got £40 for a couple of hours work and they covered all my materials and have given me a nice place to paint as well. Theres a possibility of doing work for another company down the road from that but we'll see how it goes.
